Starbucks Coffee Company last weekend celebrated the official grand opening of its first location in West Chicago, a new drive-through store at 200 W. North Ave. at the corner of Routes 64 and 59.
“We’re so excited about opening our new West Chicago store,” said Stephen Wiley, store manager. “We look forward to working with local community organizations, getting to know our new neighbors and becoming a part of the fabric of the community.”
The new store features a convenient drive-through, an outdoor patio, wireless Internet access, upholstered furniture, and café tables and chairs. In addition to beverages, the store will carry specialty coffee beans, warm breakfast sandwiches, lunch items, pastries and merchandise, including coffee and espresso machines.
The store employs about 20 people from the area.
