The People’s Resource Center’s Kids Art, a program giving children in DuPage County the opportunity to develop their creativity, is having its first exhibit of artwork from May 17 to June 14 at the Naperville Cultural Center, 55 S. Main St.
The artwork on display was created by children in the People’s Resource Center’s Kids Art program for kindergarten through fifth-graders, held once a week at Scott School in Naperville, in partnership with the YMCA Naperville Family Resource Center.
An opening reception for the artists and public will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. May 18 at the Cultural Center.
Kids Art is one of the community outreach services established by the Art Program at the People's Resource Center. It sends artists to neighborhood after-school programs to teach and expose students to art they would otherwise not have a chance to experience.
