Woman charged with DUI
Jasmine Deleon, 21, of Chicago was charged with DUI after being arrested at about 4 a.m. May 25 in the 2600 block of Harlem Avenue, according to reports.
Police said they saw a silver Honda traveling 57 in a 30 mph zone and drifting in and out of its travel lane.
When officers pulled Deleon over, they detected a strong odor of alcohol coming from her breath as she handed him a speeding ticket from Chicago, an identification card and insurance, according to reports.
Deleon’s blood-alcohol content was .166, according to reports.
She also was charged with improper lane usage and speeding, according to reports.
Reckless driving alleged
Barron Denaro, 22, 2900 S. Lincoln Ave., North Riverside, was charged with reckless driving after being arrested at about 4:45 p.m. May 24 near 31st Street and First Avenue, according to reports.
Police said a motorcycle turned onto 31st Street and sped up to 70 mph in a 30 mph zone.
Denaro said he was speeding because he was trying to get around another vehicle, according to reports.
Police said Denaro also was charged with speeding.
Man faces DUI charges
Joel Garcia, 33, of Summit, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after being arrested at about 12:15 p.m. May 24 at the intersection of Harlem Avenue and Olmstead Road, according to reports.
Officers were dispatched to 26th Street and Harlem Avenue for the report of drunken driver, according to reports. Police said the person reporting saw a silver Buick driving recklessly down Harlem Avenue, and the vehicle was swaying left to right several times.
Police said they detected a strong odor of alcohol from Garcia’s breath. Garcia failed the field sobriety tests and had a blood-alcohol content of .131, according to reports.
Police said he also was charged with improper lane usage.
