Laptop reported stolen from van
A laptop computer was reported stolen at about 10:15 a.m. Sept. 4 from a van at BP Amoco, 11201 Cermak Road, police said. The computer also had a wireless card. The estimated loss is $1,650.

Bank employee charged with felony theft
Charise Gibbs, 23, 2246 S. 16th Ave., Broadview, was arrested at about 5 p.m. Sept. 4 and charged with felony theft.

While working for TCF Bank, 2128 Mannheim Road, Westchester, Gibbs allegedly withdrew $4,716 from an account opened with fake checks, according to police reports. The withdrawal was made July 14, according to reports.

Honda set on fire on Gardner Road
A 1994 Honda Civic reportedly was set on fire at about 1:45 a.m. Sept. 5 on the 700 block of Gardner Road. Firefighters have determined the fire to be arson, according to police reports. The damage is estimated at $3,000, police reports said.
