Woman faces DUI charge
Beneranda Gonzalez, 24, of Joliet was charged with DUI after being arrested at about 5 a.m. April 30 near First Avenue and 31st Street, according to reports.
Officers saw a tan vehicle weaving and crossing the yellow center line, according to reports. Police said Gonzalez had glassy eyes and slurred speech. Gonzalez’s blood alcohol content was 0.143 percent, according to reports.

Man charged with DUI
Timoteo Perez, 26, of Indiana, was charged with aggravated DUI after being arrested at about 12:15 a.m. May 4 near Ogden and Park avenues, according to reports.
Perez was traveling East on Ogden Avenue and weaving in and out of the lane crossing the double yellow lines, according to reports.
Officers noticed an overwhelming odor of alcohol coming from his breath, according to reports.
Police said they noticed an open can of Moreno beer in the cup holder. Perez’s blood alcohol content was 0.180 percent, according to reports.
Perez was charged with speeding, illegal transportation of alcohol, uninsured, no driver’s license and improper lane usage, according to reports.
Disorderly conduct alleged
Shawn Olszewski, 39, 9900 58th St. in Countryside, was charged with criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct after being arrested at about 2:30 a.m. May 3 in the 8900 block of Burlington Avenue, according to reports.
Officers were dispatched to Cheers Bar for a man, who said he was inside the bar when the bartender told him he had to leave, according to reports.
Olszewski said he was trying to get money for a hotel room but since no one gave him any money he would go to the Western Springs train station to sleep, according to reports.
Police said Olszewski was asked to leave when he became loud and belligerent. He was later found by officers on a bench outside the bar, police added.
WESTCHESTER
Teen with air gun charged
A 16-year-old Westchester boy was charged with a village ordinance violation after he was seen carrying an air rifle in the 700 block of Suffolk Avenue at about 6:15 p.m. April 28. Police said a resident reported she had seen the boy aim the gun at a window in a room of her house.
Theft suspect nabbed
A man was charged with aggravated fleeing and eluding after he sped around a police blockade set up at about 11:45 a.m. April 29.
Westchester police attempted to stop a vehicle driven by Willie Smith, 45, of Melrose Park, as he was in the westbound lanes of Cermak Road at the Mannheim Road intersection based on the vehicle’s description from Broadview police.
Smith was being sought for the theft of tools valued at more than $500 from The Home Depot store in Broadview.
Smith attempted to drive east on the Eisenhower Expressway from Mannheim Road when his vehicle hit the curb, blew a tire, then traveled down a grass embankment where it came to rest.
A Dewalt Combo kit and reciprocating saw were recovered from the vehicle.
Smith also was charged with seven other traffic violations before he was turned over to Broadview police.
Traffic stop leads to chase
A man was charged with for fleeing and attempting to elude arrest following a traffic stop at about 11:45 p.m. April 28.
Police said officers attempted to stop a vehicle driven Joe Sepulveda, 22, of Plainfield, after he was seen driving through a red light at Mannheim Road and the Eisenhower Expressway exit ramp.
Sepulveda drove east on Interstate 290 to the 25th Avenue exit, ignored a stop sign and struck a vehicle parked at 2850 Indian Joe Road in Broadview.
Paintballs damage property
A man was charged with criminal damage to property by police, who saw him shooting a paintball gun following numerous reports from residents at about 4:30 p.m. May 2.
Police said Randy Bualon, 20, of Bolingbrook, was arrested after several reports of a garage, fence, trash cans and an electric transformer being splattered with paintballs were reported in the 1400 blocks of Mandel and Evers avenues.
