
Westchester resident Herman “Mike” Keizer, 91, died Dec. 24, 2007, in La Grange.
A memorial service was held Dec. 28 in Ebenezer Christian Reformed Church, Berwyn. Interment was in Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery, Oakbrook Terrace.
Mr. Keizer was a route manager for Darling and Co. before retiring. He was a softball player with the Holland American Softball League, a member of Chicago Umpires Protective Association and an active member of Ebenezer Christian Reformed Church.
Survivors include his children Herman J. (Ardis), Robert (Carolyn), Beverly (John) Folkerts, Phyllis (Robert) Veldman, Dennis (Loretta) and Cindy (C.J.) Veldman; his siblings, Violet Stange and Minnie Montalbano; his family friend, Jean Franz; 35 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lena; his daughter, Cookie Hoekstra; his son-in-law, Ron Hoekstra; his sister-in-law, Alice; four brothers; and three sisters.
