
A panel discussion on domestic violence will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, June 20, at the Westchester Public Library, 10700 Canterbury St., Westchester.
Darlene Barber of Scream Ministries, Jessica Teamer of Constance Morris House, Westchester Police Sgt. April Padalik and a representative from the Cook County State’s Attorney Office will discuss how to recognize the warning signs and symptoms of abuse and will explore ways to stop the violence.
The National Coalition Against Domestic Violence reports one in every four women will experience domestic violence in her lifetime.
The program is free of charge and open to the public. Advance registration is requested.
