
The Riverside Junior Woman’s Charity is offering a $1500 scholarship to a high school graduating female who has demonstrated an outstanding level of community service through school, religious, fraternal and civic organizations.
Applicants must be residents of Cook County with at least a 3.0 cumulative grade-point average on a 4.0 scale and have plans to attend a college/university or institution. A completed application, list of activity involvement, essay addressing the topic “I believe my community service has been valuable because…” and letter of recommendation must be mailed to the Riverside Junior Woman’s Charity, 27 Riverside Road, Riverside, IL 60546, postmarked no later than March 28. Applicants will be notified of the outcome during the week of April 27.
Applications may be obtained from the counseling offices at the following high schools: Fenwick, Lyons Township, Morton East, Morton West, Nazareth, Proviso East, Proviso West, Riverside Brookfield, St. Ignatius, St. Joseph, and Trinity.
