After 50 years, it’s time for a little celebrating.
And that’s exactly what parents and staff have planned for Sunday to mark Divine Providence School’s 50th anniversary, which was Sept. 3.

Just 50 years have passed since Divine Providence School in Westchester opened its doors, and school administrators have planned an anniversary celebration in September to mark the milestone.
 

Stephanie Rossi of Westchester received a bachelor of arts degree in American studies from Dominican University in River Forest on May 3. Rossi is a graduate of Immaculate Heart of Mary High School in Westchester. She is the daughter of Ron and Leigh Ann Rossi of Westchester.

Twenty-nine area residents were named to the spring-semester dean’s list at Benedictine University, Lisle.

Ten residents were named to the spring-semester dean’s list at Dominican University, River Forest. To be eligible for the dean’s list, a student must attain a minimum 3.8 grade-point average on a 4.0 scale. Students include La Grange Park residents Benjamin Boyd and Meghan Brunette; Lyons resident Eileen Cahill; Riverside residents Edvardas Kuprys and Catherine Skokna; and Westchester residents Susan Battersby, Andrea Chua, Kathryn Favia, Joseph Saraceno and Maria Saraceno.

Sean Callahan of Westchester was named to the fall and spring-semester dean’s lists at Benedictine University, Lisle.
