St. Charles, IL -

A jury took two hours of deliberation before finding a Geneva man guilty on three counts of invasion.

Sean P. Zeleny, 24, of the 400 block of Brittany Court, now faces up to 30 years in prison for the August 2005 home invasion and battery of three residents.

Authorities said Zeleny and two co-defendants, Sean Kenney, 23, of St. Charles, and James C. Szczesny, 23, of St. Charles, entered a home on the 200 block of North 15th Street and beat three of the home’s six residents. The men then left the scene in a car driven by Lauren Hruby, 24, of Warrenville.

The victims drove themselves to the St. Charles Police Station and named Zeleny as one of the attackers. Kenney, Szczesny and Hruby were later arrested on similar charges.

Zeleny’s next court appearance is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 29, where he will face a sentence of between six and 30 years in prison. The cases against Zeleny’s three co-defendants are pending.
