Santa Claus was almost homeless for this year’s holiday season in St. Charles.

With Christmas coming up, St. Charles will light up the Christmas tree lights and put on this year's Electric Christmas Parade.

Visitors to Brookfield Zoo can begin their holiday celebrations at the zoo’s 28th annual Holiday Magic event, which runs from 4-9 p.m. Dec. 5-6, 12-13, 19-20, and from Dec. 26-31.
