U. of I. Extension offers youth science program

The University of Illinois Extension DuPage County is offering monthly Saturday science activities for children ages 8 to 12 through its Explore, Try, Create program.

“Get Your Hands Dirty!” will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, 2008 at the Extension office, 1100 E. Warrenville Road, Suite 170, Naperville. Activities will include measuring the pH of your own yard’s soil, planting a sock buddy, observing the importance of worms to healthy soil and more. The cost is $15 per person.
