POSITION Forward
IMPACT In his first year on the team at Glenbard West, this 6-foot-6 forward has provided both athleticism and scoring punch off the Hilltoppers bench. Harris is second on the team in scoring with his 9.8 points per game, shooting over 51 percent from two-point territory. He is also contributing 4.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists and nearly a steal and block per contest.

POSITION Forward
IMPACT This forward has stepped up in a big way this season for the Falcons, helping to shoulder the scoring load of Maddie Baillie and Mandy Traversa. The 6-foot Baird is leading Wheaton North with her 10.2 rebounds per game while also contributing 8.6 points per outing.

IMPACT After seeing some time on varsity a year ago, this senior has seen his role increase this winter. While his buzzer-beating 3-pointer from just inside the timelime to beat Ridgewood is undoubtedly the highlight thus far, Jeske has been consistent on both ends of the floor. He averaged 16 points per game at the Romeoville Holiday tournament and is regularly assigned to guard the other team’s top player.

IMPACT After coming off the bench last season, this senior guard has emerged as a solid player on both ends of the court for the Panthers. Paye is fourth on the team in scoring with six points per game while adding 3.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists per outing. He has shown to be a ballhawk on the defensive end, topping Glenbard North with 2.3 steals per game.

IMPACT On a team loaded with new faces, this sophomore has been a solid contributor through the first half of the season. In her first year of varsity action, Ball is third on the team in scoring with her 6.9 points per game while shooting 70 percent from the free throw line. She is also tallying 4.2 rebounds and 1.1 steals per contest.

Dan Roadman

POSITION Guard
IMPACT Coming off an outstanding fall as a starting linebacker on the football team, this senior has stepped up his game on the hardcourt for a Tigers team that lost much of its scoring production from a year ago. In 10 games this winter, Roadman is averaging 11 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game. He has knocked down 24 3-pointers and is shooting 43.6 percent from that territory.

IMPACT A spot-starter last season (nine starts), this senior forward has been a major factor in the Spartans’ fast start to the 2011-12 campaign. Roswold has been solid on both ends of the floor for St. Francis and was an all-tournament selection at the Batavia Thanksgiving tournament.

CLASS Junior
POSITION Guard
IMPACT After playing on the sophomore team a year ago, this 5-foot-6 junior guard has earned a starting spot on the varsity this winter. Maret has been an immediate contributor for the Warriors as one of the team’s leading three-point shooters for the 11-5 squad.

POSITION Guard
IMPACT This junior has steadily improved throughout the beginning of the 2011-12 season and is quickly becoming an offensive force for the Warriors. A skilled shooter from the perimeter, this 6-foot-2 guard averaged 15 points per contest at the recent Glenbard West Tournament while leading the team in scoring in two of the games.

Tyler Schoenwolf

POSITION Forward
IMPACT After not playing much as a junior, a lot of hard work in the offseason has paid off in a big way for Schoenwolf, who has started every game this season for the Wildcats. Selected as one of the captains this winter, he is averaging about seven points and six rebounds per game.

Caitlin Soane
SCHOOL Glenbard West girls

POSITION Center
IMPACT This 6-foot-3 center played on the sophomore team last season and has become an immediate force at the varsity level. Soane tops Glenbard West with 10.2 points per game, shooting 47-percent from the field. She also leads the Hilltoppers in rebounding (5.3 per game) while posting a little over four blocked shots per outing.

Brian Spahn
SCHOOL St. Francis
CLASS Senior
POSITION Guard
IMPACT After mostly coming off the bench last winter, this senior has been one of the Spartans’ top defensive players and rebounders from the guard position. Spahn has also shown growth on the offensive end, highlighted by a 20-point performance in a recent victory over Marian Central.

Sierra Bisso
SCHOOL Wheaton Warrenville South girls
CLASS Junior
POSITION Guard
IMPACT Bisso missed all of last year after tearing her ACL just before the season was to begin. Now the junior is back on the court for the Tigers and her return has paid instant dividends. She is third on the team with 10.2 points per game, shooting 52-percent from two-point territory and topping the Tigers with 41 three-pointers. She is also contributing 2.5 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game.

Liz Reyes
SCHOOL West Chicago girls
CLASS Senior
POSITION Guard
IMPACT After playing mostly on the junior varsity team last season, Reyes has become an important contributor for a Wildcats team that has started off strong. She played a major role in helping West Chicago to the Oswego East Holiday Tournament championship, shooting 53-percent from the field and 88-percent from the free throw line while averaging six points per game at the event.
