Man arrested in undercover sting

Winfield, IL -
Winfield police arrested a Rolling Meadows man who had made arrangements to meet with a 15-year-old girl.
Martin Freeberg, 53, of 2600 Brookwood Way, thought he had been talking with a 15-year-old teen online about meeting for sexual conduct.
Freeberg was actually chatting with an undercover detective from the Winfield Police Department.
Martin, who has worked as a junior high and high school referee for 28 years, was charged with one count of indecent solicitation of a child, which is a class 3 felony. Martin is being held at DuPage County jail and his bond hearing was scheduled for March 18.
