One person died early Sunday on Diehl Road in Warrenville after a vehicle struck an above-ground gas line.
The accident happened around 3 a.m. Sunday on Diehl Road west of Winfield Road. Warrenville police officers arrived to find a single vehicle off the road fully engulfed in flames. A preliminary investigation indicates the gas line ruptured after being hit by the vehicle.
A traffic accident that happened around 6 p.m. Monday in Winfield had a portion of Winfield Road, between Mack and Roosevelt roads, closed for about three hours.
