A 25-year-old Glen Ellyn man accused of inappropriately touching two minors on May 11 and May 12 at Target in St. Charles is facing additional charges for touching a third minor.

Nicholas E. Muniz, 24, 290 May Ave., Glen Ellyn, was charged with two counts of battery and two counts of disorderly conduct after he allegedly inappropriately touched a 16-year-old girl on Friday and touched a 14-year-old girl on Saturday.

According to officials at the Glen Ellyn Police Department, evidence and witness statements indicate that a 56-year-old woman who was struck and killed by a westbound Metra commuter train Monday committed suicide.

A 56-year-old woman was struck by a westbound Metra commuter train just east of the Park Boulevard intersection at about 1:30 this afternoon. The women didn’t survive the accident. Her identity is being withheld at this time.

Death reported after vehicle strikes gas line in Warrenville

One person died early Sunday on Diehl Road in Warrenville after a vehicle struck an above-ground gas line.

The accident happened around 3 a.m. Sunday on Diehl Road west of Winfield Road.  Warrenville police officers arrived to find a single vehicle off the road fully engulfed in flames. A preliminary investigation indicates the gas line ruptured after being hit by the vehicle.

Monday evening traffic accident injures motorist

A traffic accident that happened around 6 p.m. Monday in Winfield had a portion of Winfield Road, between Mack and Roosevelt roads, closed for about three hours.

There were injuries from the multiple vehicle accident, but none were fatal.

Helicopter responds to crash at Roosevelt and Winfield roads

A helicopter is being dispatched to Roosevelt and Winfield roads in Winfield this evening after a reported crash at the intersection.
