Students have been rating their teachers and professors on the Internet for years.
Now athletes have their chance to do the same via a new Website started by a Bloomingdale resident.
Matt Unger, a Marquette University student and former high school athlete, started the website with the goal of helping coaches see themselves through their players' eyes.
"We want to help good coaches become even better coaches," Unger said. "Our goal is to provide a forum where coaches can receive valuable feedback that will help them advance in their career. But it’s not just about the coaches. We want to help players too.
”The success of a team is dependent on matching the right players to the right coaches. Putting a free-spirited athlete on a team coached by a strict disciplinarian is a recipe for disaster. We provide a forum where student athletes can learn more about a school and its coaches before making the decision to play for that school."
RateMyCoaches.com has registered over 17,500 high schools and 4,000 colleges in the United States.
