Villa Park, IL -

The owner of a Villa Park auto shop was arrested last night and multiple cars were towed away by police.

The Villa Park Police Department served a warrant at King Auto Enterprises, 744 N. Yale Ave. in Villa Park last night.

John Franko, the owner of the shop, was charged with theft, forgery, insurance fraud, unlicensed automotive used parts dealer, and unlicensed used automotive dealer.

The shop was formerly known as J&A Auto Shop, and was the focus of a previous media investigation in 2007.

Franko had a bond hearing in a DuPage County Court this morning where a judge set two counts of bonds at $200,000, with the remaining two at $4,000.

An officer with the Villa Park Police Department said they will issue a press release regarding the arrest this afternoon.
