Echoes of Beatles’ music spread through Madison Meadow Park on a cloudy and cool evening as the annual Taste of Lombard began plating food, fun, and entertainment  Wednesday.

More than 25 food vendors brought their cuisine to the park, selling everything including pizza slices, Italian beef sandwiches, fried onion blossoms and fried alligator.

“Stockwood” the World's Youngest Beatles Tribute Band, opened the festivities on the main stage, with more than a dozen bands to follow in the next four days of the festival.

The Beatles’ tribute band returns to Lombard Aug. 1 to play during the village’s Cruise Nights in downtown.

The annual fireworks ceremony will begin at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, and the Taste concludes Sunday.
