Western Acres helping soldiers Labor Day weekend

Golfers who play a round at the Lombard Park District’s Western Acres Golf Course from Aug. 29 to Sept. 1 will be asked to donate a minimum of $1 per greens fee to help ensure the future of families of wounded or fallen soldiers.
Proceeds will go to the Folds of Honor Foundation, which awards scholarships to the children of military members who have been seriously disabled or have given their lives in combat in Afghanistan or Iraq.
