Lombard man charged with sexual abuse

A Lombard man faces seven charges from an alleged sexual assault earlier this week.
Shreya Lal, 20, of 123 Regency Drive in Lombard was charged with one count of aggravated criminal sexual assault, three counts of criminal sexual assault, one count of intimidation, one count of unlawful interference with the reporting of domestic violence and once count of unlawful violation of an order of protection.
The charges stem from a June 15 incident where it is alleged Lal sexually assaulted a woman at his home after convincing her to come home with him. Lal allegedly took the victim's cell phone and threatened physical harm if she reported the incident to police.
The alleged assault took place in violation of an order of protection obtained by the victim against Lal a month earlier.
Lal appeared in a DuPage County bond court this morning where Judge Peter Ostling set his bond at $2 million.
