Four Seasons Gardening, a 12-session program presented by University of Illinois Extension, will cover a wide array of gardening and landscaping topics.
Three seminars for each of the four seasons will be offered. The first session of the winter series, titled Cool Season Vegetable Gardening, will be offered twice — at 1 p.m. Jan. 27 and again at 7 p.m. on Jan. 29. Both sessions will be presented via teleconference at the DuPage County Office, 1100 E. Warrenville Road, Suite 170, in Naperville.
This session focuses on vegetables that can be grown in the cooler temperatures of late winter into early spring. The seminar features a color slide presentation accompanied by the voice of the instructor as people from all over the state participate.
Other topics in the winter series include Spring Flowering Shrubs for the Home Landscape, set for Feb. 10 and 12, and Ornamental Grasses on Feb. 24 and 26.
Cost per session is $10. Advance registration is needed.
