DuPage High School District 88 is planning events at both of its high schools to introduce freshmen to their new environments.

Emanuel Ion, a senior at Willowbrook High School in Villa Park, received 88’s Best Award for April.

Area students earn high honors.

On Saturday, April 28, Montini Catholic High School will induct seven new members into the Alumni Hall of Fame.

A Burr Ridge businessman will take over immediately to fill a vacancy left on the College of DuPage Board of Trustees after former Trustee Jane M. Herron resigned abruptly during a Jan. 18 meeting. Trustees unanimously approved Joseph T. Snyder, owner of Snyder Insurance Services and Snyder Financial Services of Darien, to fill out the rest of Herron’s term, which runs to April 2009, said Brian Kleemann, a COD spokesman, during a special board meeting Feb. 27.

High schools in Addison and Villa Park will soon open their doors to the public to showcase a massive renovation plan.
