• 7-Eleven stores will be holding their just-for-fun presidential coffee cup poll where citizens can vote early, late and often. All it takes is for customers to purchase their 20-ounce coffee, choose a red or blue cup supporting the name of Republican Sen. John McCain or Democrat candidate Sen. Barack Obama. The promotion runs through midnight Tuesday, Nov. 4.

 

• On Oct. 2 Burgess Enterprises, Accurate Repro and Cawley Chicago Commercial Real Estate sponsored an Oktoberfest celebration. The event was held at the Accurate Repro facilities in Prairie Point Corporate Center of Naperville. All proceeds, which included booth rental fees, 50/50 raffle and donations, went to Hesed House. The charitable efforts resulted in over a $2,100 donation to Hesed House. The Aurora Oktoberfest will be held on Oct. 23 at the Aurora Corporate Center, 1585 Beverly Court, Unit 108. • A Burr Ridge resident with nearly 40 years of banking experience has been named executive vice president and chief credit officer for Burr Ridge Bank and Trust, a new community bank being organized by local business people for local business people. Lawrence A. Dolosic, a former vice president and senior banker with JP Morgan Chase, N.A.’s Willowbrook branch, has already joined the team of Burr Ridge Bank and Trust president and CEO Roy C. Thygesen.

 

• Richard Spinell, principal for Mid-America Asset Management, Inc., announced new auto care retail leases for two shopping centers in Chicagoland: West Point Center in Hillside and Bloomingdale Autocare in Bloomingdale.
