Glenbard North High School in Carol Stream celebrated homecoming 2008 last week with a variety of activities to boost school pride and spirit.
The Panthers football team made homecoming a grand event, with a 42-0 blowout of West Chicago Friday night.
The week of events began Sept. 29 with pajama day, when students got to wear their favorite bedtime clothes to school. Tuesday was Super Hero Day, and classmates donned masks of their favorite caped crusaders. Wednesday ended in a blaze with the annual girls powderpuff football game, followed by a bonfire.
Thursday featured Concert T-Shirt Day and classes culminated Friday with an all-school pep rally, which saw the crowning of the homecoming king and queen, Samantha Eldridge and Ben Crosby.
The week concluded with the homecoming dance, held at the school with the theme “Arabian Nights.”
