Morton West drama students will be performing “Guys and Dolls” at Morton West High School during November.
The show opens with a 7 p.m. performance Thursday, Nov. 13, and additional shows are scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, Saturday, Nov. 15, and Thursday through Saturday, Nov. 20 and 22, at the school. A matinee is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, said Morton West drama teacher Janine Delmonico.
Tickets may be purchased at the school’s box office on each night of a performance, she said. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children and seniors admittance is free.
To reserve tickets in advance, residents may call the box office at (708) 222-5962.
Students also will be performing “Greece: The Musical,” which Delmonico said is a spoof on the movie “Grease.” She said students chose to base the script on Greek mythology, and parodied songs from “Grease.”
That production will be performed during the school day Wednesday, Nov. 19.
They will perform at Morton West from 9 to 10 a.m. and from 10 to 11 a.m., Delmonico said. The production then moves over to the freshmen campus for a 12:30 p.m. performance.
