St. Charles North names new coaches for upcoming year

In advance of the 2009-10 school year, St. Charles North has named four new coaches.

Amber Millard takes over as cheerleading coach. A North graduate, Millard spent the last two years as the head cheerleading coach at Glenbard East High School.

Colleen Brennan will replace Katie Sauber as girls basketball head coach. Brennan spent the last six seasons as a coach at Porter-Guad School in South Carolina before accepting a position in North's Special Education department and the role as head coach.

Lindsey Hawkins takes the reins for the girls volleyball team. A former standout in basketball and volleyball at St. Charles High School, Hawkins spent the past two years as head coach at Vernon Hills High School.

Todd Weimer will replace Guy Lum as boys volleyball coach next spring. Weimer has been coaching boys and girls volleyball for the last seven years, most recently as girls head coach at Kaneland High School.
