Saints win in double-OT thriller

St. Charles East kept its Upstate Eight Conference record perfect and Lake Park experienced yet more heartbreak as the Saints pulled out a 42-41, double-overtime victory Friday night in St. Charles.
The Saints improved to 4-1 overall, 3-0 in the UEC and travel to Naperville next Friday to take on Neuqua Valley (2-3, 1-2), which rolled over Larkin, 38-12. The Lancers (1-4, 1-2) have now lost three times by eight or less points. They go to Aurora next Friday night to play Waubonsie Valley (2-3, 2-1), which cruised past Elgin, 46-21.
