The Chicago Bulls/White Sox Training Academy in Lisle is extending a free invitation for kids to participate in the 2010 White Sox Experience Camp at U.S. Cellular Field on Saturday, Aug. 7, from 4-6:30 p.m.

The camp gives every kid, ages 7-14, an opportunity to fulfill their dream of playing on a Major League Baseball field the same way the pros do. At the camp, each athlete will receive professional instruction from Sox Academy instructors on hitting, outfield, infield, pitching and base running on the home turf of the Chicago White Sox. A dinner will be provided in the right field patio area immediately following the camp.

This once in a lifetime opportunity gives each ball player the chance to field groundballs like Gordon Beckham, fly balls like Carlos Quentin, warm-up in the bullpen like Mark Buerhle and take batting practice in the batting tunnels just like all-star Paul Konerko. You will also see areas of the ballpark most fans never see.

Spots for the camp must be reserved by Friday, July 30. Due to space limitations, all requests may not be able to be fulfilled. Contact Pete Kelly at the Bulls/Sox Academy at (630) 324-8261 or via e-mail to reserve a spot.
