Kimi Hayes Band will be the featured perfomance at this week’s installment of the St. Charles Concerts in the Park series at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Lincoln Park Gazebo, along Main Street between Fourth and Fifth streets.
Hayes and her band play pure rock and soul, blending the guts and passion of Janice Joplin and Bonnie Raitt, the pop sensibilities of Sheryl Crow and Matchbox Twenty, and the live, unbridled energy of Melissa Etheridge and Bruce Springsteen.
The Downtown St. Charles Partnership and the St. Charles Park District are presenting this free concert.
Upcoming performers include: Lazy Maybes on July 16, Tin Horse on July 23, Michael Heaton Band on July 30, Gizzae on Aug. 6, Hello Dave on Aug. 13, and Howard and the White Boys on Aug. 20.
In the event of rain, the concert will be moved to the Carson Pirie Scott Court of the Charlestowne Mall, 3800 E. Main St.
Musicians are subject to change without notice.
