A section of First Avenue in St. Charles will be closed until Saturday due to a large crack in the road, according to the St. Charles Downtown Partnership.
First Avenue will close between Cedar Avenue and State Avenue in order to make the needed repairs.
The Downtown Partnership said in an e-mail that the road is closed due to newly poured concrete cracking.
The e-mail said that St. Charles “will make every effort to open the road earlier, if possible.”
