Elgin man arrested for solicitation of a minor

St. Charles, IL -
St. Charles police arrested a man Thursday who allegedly made arrangements to meet a teenager for sex.
At 8:30 p.m. June 26, Lawrence Celeste, 56, of Elgin, attempted to meet what he thought was a 14-year-old girl on the 2700 block of E. Main Street in St. Charles.
Celeste made arrangements online with a female investigator. Police arrested Celeste when he arrived at an undisclosed business. Celeste was held at the St. Charles Police Department overnight and is currently free on $25,000 bail.
Police were not available for comment Friday afternoon.
