• Costco, which recently opened a new store in St. Charles, has become a new sponsor of the Downtown St. Charles Partnership’s Holiday Homecoming and Electric Christmas Parade events, along with several other organizations. Aviva MedSpa & Cosmetic Surgery Center, Fox Valley Women and Children’s Health Partners, and Christ Community Church are the other new sponsors of the event. • Continuing its five year string of receiving multiple awards at the Illinois Main Street program’s annual conference and awards banquets, the Downtown St. Charles Partnership had two of its four finalist efforts win “Best of” recognition Nov. 13 in Decatur, Ill. Presented each year by Lt. Gov. Pat Quinn, the awards recognize outstanding efforts and programs in downtown revitalization and preservation by the nearly 70 Illinois communities that are certified Main Street programs. The winning events are the organization’s “Rockin Block Party” and “Make Tracks for 1st Street.” For more information, visit www.dtown.org.

• As a realty for nearly 12 years, Robin Stoecklin of Baird & Warner has a wide variety of experience assisting buyers and sellers in the Fox Valley area. She has recently enhanced her proficiency by completing a course on how to better serve multicultural and minority real estate clients. With the cooperation of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the National Association of Realtors developed the course, “At Home with Diversity: One America.” It teaches realtors to reach out and support the home ownership needs of ethnic and racial demographic groups by understanding cultural differences. • St. Charles resident Kate Monteleone has been named the vice president, development, of the Resurrection Development Foundation. She will be responsible for the major gift initiative for the foundation, which raises funds to enhance patient care, facilities and services at Resurrection Health Care, headquartered in Chicago.
