• The St. Charles Breakfast Rotary Club is once again conducting its Toys for Kids program, to collect toys for children in need in the Tri-Cities area. Volunteers will be present during the Downtown St. Charles Partnership’s Electric Christmas Parade at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, to collect new unwrapped toys for the program. The Rotary Club is asking each parade attendee to bring one toy. For more information, contact Jim Wheeler at (630) 584-8356.

• The Downtown St. Charles Partnership is inviting nominations for its Downtown Pride Award, given annually to individuals, businesses or organizations that have made outstanding contributions to the revitalization of the downtown district. According to Laura Haule, chairman of the DSCP’s Organization Committee, the silver fox statuette has become one of the most coveted awards presented by any St. Charles organization. Nominees must fulfill several very specific qualifying criteria. Nomination forms must be submitted to the Partnership office by Dec. 31. • Cathie Tardy, sales manager for the Baird & Warner Fox Valley office, has announced the addition of six associates to its award-winning sales team.
