There is a cancer resource center that I’m familiar with that deserves to be supported.
It is called the Living Well Cancer Resource Center. The problem of living with cancer is something that is vitally important to those of us who are doing this. As many as 60,000 people in Illinois alone will be diagnosed with cancer this year. Medicine is coming up with new ways to actively treat cancer right along, but the need is there for support once people contract it and have a need to be with others who are in the same situation.
Living Well Cancer Center is just such a center in the Fox Valley to enable fellow patients to spend time with each other and get the mutual support that can be derived by being with people in the same situation. There is no question that having the will and determination to survive has a real effect on the person’s ability to achieve this.
