Alexander Falls of Batavia, Derek Hassler of Geneva and Joseph Pittner of St. Charles have been selected to sing in the 2007-2008 edition of the Millikin Men.

St. Charles East cast members for the recent play, “Arsenic and Old Lace” included Nick Ametangelo, Kevin Berls, Anne Church, Caitlin Ewald, Esther-Farler Westphal, Luke Fitzgerald, Greyson Havens-Morris, Katherine Henning, Kory Horstman, Will Kazda, Greg Marchuk, Trevor Marchuk, Stephanie Nordlund, Ryan Otto, Josh Rasmussen, Amanda Rogowski, Kat Tactikos, Ty Warden, Mollly Wagner and Mac Willaert. Performance dates were Oct. 19, 20 and 21.

Local Marmion Academy students received a Letter of Commendation from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. Seniors Edward Leonard of Geneva, Michael O’Brien of St. Charles, Richard Peck of St. Charles, and Taylor Weis of Batavia are recognized for their exceptional academic promise along with a total of about 34,000 commended students throughout the nation. They are placed among the top five percent of more than one million students who entered the 2008 competition.

Brandon Weiss of St. Charles has graduated from the Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps Leader Development and Assessment Course, also known as "Operation Warrior Forge," at Fort Lewis, Tacoma, Wash.

Matthew Wolf of St. Charles was recently honored during the 2007 Doctor of Pharmacy White Coat Ceremony for 119 students entering their first professional year in the Doctor of Pharmacy program at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa.
