Naresh and Carmen Swaroop of St. Charles announce the engagement of their daughter, Vineeta Theresa, to Christopher James Jaeger, son of James and Gwen Jaeger of Des Plaines.

The bride-to-be graduated from St. Charles East High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Duke University, Durham, N.C., and her medical degree from Georgetown University, Washington, D.C. The bride-to-be is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon at Children’s Hospital, San Diego.

The groom-to-be graduated from East Leyden High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa. He is pursuing a master’s degree in business administration at Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management. The groom-to-be is an institutional portfolio manager at Northern Trust Global Investments, Chicago.

A late summer wedding was planned at St. John Neumann Church, St. Charles.
