BATAVIA, IL -
Athletes By Design and Prairie Path Cycles in Batavia will be hosting a fundraiser ride for Jessi Prinner, an ABD cyclist from Streamwood who was recently selected to represent the United States at the Junior World Championships in Moscow, Russia.
The ride will be held July 22 at 6:15 p.m. with three riding options available.
One will be a 40-mile ride led by Jessi and her coach Mike Farrell at a competition pace. The second will be a 20-mile moderately-paced ride through Fermilab led by Prairie Path Cycles co-owner Joe Lafontaine. The third option will be a 10-mile ride along the Fox River Trail bike path led at a comfortable pace by Prairie Path Cycles employee Erin Silk.
At the conclusion of the rides there will be a pasta dinner where all participants will have an opportunity to wish Jessi luck in Moscow.
Donations of $1 per mile are recommended from both participating riders and outside sponsors. Prizes will be awarded to the riders who raise the most money.
