Want to bring more luxury decor to your home but fear the steep price tag? There’s good news. You can find high-quality products that fit your budget, said Rehan Ansari of the Downers Grove-based Home&Manor.
“When people think luxury it doesn’t always have to mean expensive. The look and feel of the products are more important,” he said. “Don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and try something new.”
Here are three tips on how you can add luxury to the aesthetic flair of your home without breaking the bank:
1. Roll out the rugs
High quality, contemporary area rugs can help create a grand entryway in a home, and make bedrooms and living rooms feel more cozy and polished. “And they don’t always cost as much as you might think,” Ansari said. “Just make sure you choose one large enough for your space.” Consider adding a different look to the room with a leather rug, animal skin print rug, or one with a foil printed design.
2. Bring in the accessories
Want your furniture to stand out? The many eclectic designs and colors in accent pillows can help do just that. “Silk pillows add a new sleek and shine feel to your atmosphere,” Ansari said. “Mix and match textures with some hand-woven designs to make your sofa stand out.” Silk throws can also add bright, vibrant colors to a room when draped over a piece of furniture or hung on a wall. An abstract piece of artwork can also help make an otherwise dull wall pop.
3. Change up the look
Looking to spruce up the bedroom? Consider changing up the decor. Just switching out an old quilt or comforter can drastically alter the look of the room. “Contemporary bedding and custom drapery can add that splash of life to any dream haven,” Ansari said.
