Three cars burglarized outside home
Three cars were burglarized in front of a home in the 200 block of Pheasant Lane. The car burglaries were reported at 8:30 a.m. Sept. 24.
Several compact discs, an iPod, a global positioning system, an umbrella and cash were stolen from the center consoles of all three cars.
Loss was estimated at $1,500.

Woman faces retail theft charge
Veronica Rueda, 34, of Hanover Park, was charged with misdemeanor retail theft at 11 p.m. Sept. 29 at Kohl’s in Stratford Square Mall after she allegedly attempted to leave the store with four shopping bags full of merchandise valued at $1,149.

Ladders, pipes stolen from truck
Three ladders and four aluminum pipes, total value of $450, were stolen between 5 p.m. Sept. 27 and 8 a.m. Sept. 30 from a truck parked outside Kammes Trucking, 501 W. Army Trail Road.

Chicago man charged with drug possession
Mario A. Reyes, 24, of Chicago, was charged with possession of marijuana at 11:30 p.m. Sept. 26 near Schmale Road and Burns Street.

Resident arrested on drug charges
Jonathan Jacoby, 27, of Carol Stream, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and driving with an expired registration at 10 p.m. Sept. 16 near Main Street and St. Charles Road.

Chicago man faces drug, alcohol charges
Bobbie L. Sanders, 32, of Chicago, was charged with possession of marijuana, driving under the influence of drugs, illegal transportation of alcohol, driving without insurance and not having a license-plate light at 9 p.m. Sept. 12 at 609 Burns St.

Minor charged with drinking alcohol
Jessica L. Krepel, 20, of St. Charles, was charged with possession of marijuana and illegal consumption of alcohol at 1:45 a.m. Sept. 12 near County Farm and Lies roads.

Glendale Heights

Car, house damaged with pellet gun
The tail light on a car and the living-room window of a home on the 100 block of Jacobsen Avenue was damaged. The incident was reported at 3 p.m. Sept. 27.
According to police, the damage appeared to have been caused by a pellet gun. No damage estimate was given.

Man faces DUI, obstruction of justice charges
Adolfo Morales, 22, no address given, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, aggravated driving under the influence, attempted obstruction of justice and driving with a suspended license at 2:30 a.m. Sept. 27 along Bloomingdale Road.

Woman charged for driving with suspended license
Olga Pantoja, 43, no address given, was charged with driving with a suspended license at 12:15 a.m. Sept. 29, near Fullerton and Vanmeter avenues.
Police said the suspect had an outstanding warrant from the DuPage County Sheriff’s Department.

Resident faces drunken driving charge
Soraya D. Khaksari, 40, 1941 Glenrock Lane, was charged with driving under the influence, resisting arrest, driving without insurance and having an expired registration at 2:30 a.m. Sept. 25 on the 1500 block of Bloomingdale Road.

Police investigate theft at business
An employee of a local business might have taken $600 by filing false receipts with the company.
According to police, the theft occurred within the past month at an unnamed business on the 300 block of East Army Trail Road. The incident was reported at 2 p.m. Sept. 24.
Police said they are investigating the case. Charges have not yet been filed.

Bolingbrook man faces DUI charge
Kenneth E. Smith, 37, of Bolingbrook was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal lane use and speeding at 1 a.m. Sept. 12 on the 600 block of North Roselle Road.

Arrest made in connection with car burglary
Michael Astorino, 18, no address available, was charged with possession of stolen property after he allegedly tried to use credit cards belonging to a man who had reported his wallet stolen from his car at 2:15 a.m. Sept. 17 on the 100 block of Terry Drive. The wallet also contained Social Security and identification cards, according to police.

Car windows on Berwick smashed
The driver’s side and hatchback windows of a vehicle parked on the 700 block of Berwick Place were smashed. The incident was reported at 8:30 a.m. Sept. 22.

Purse stolen from car at Rec Center
A Coach purse was taken from an unlocked vehicle parked at the Clauss Recreation Center, on the 500 block of West Bryn Mawr Avenue. The incident was reported at 9:15 a.m. Sept. 22. The estimated value of the purse and its contents was $450.

Swing set tossed into pond
A swing set on the 500 block of Foster Avenue was thrown into a pond Sept. 20 or Sept. 21. The incident was reported at 7:45 p.m. Sept. 21. The estimated value of the swing set was $125.
