Streamwood, IL -

No one was injured in a car fire, which spread to a Streamwood home at midnight Wednesday.

Firefighters, who were called to 1101 Sunnydale Blvd., found a truck fully engulfed and fire had already moved to the exterior of the home.

The resident and truck owner, Rolando Jacinto, and seven other family members temporarily staying with relatives were able to escape the house without injury.

Streamwood fire investigators determined the cause of the fire to be accidental, originating inside the truck’s engine.

The 1997 Ford pick-up truck was a total loss and three other vehicles in the driveway sustained moderate damage. The damage to the home is estimated at $100,000, said Deputy Chief Mark Hudson.
