Roskam to meet Lake Park students

Congressman Peter Roskam will be visiting Lake Park High School to discuss the legislative process with the school’s Student Council and Youth in Government Club students.
Roskam will appear from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10, at Lake Park’s West Campus, 500 West Bryn Mawr Ave., Roselle.
Students will have the opportunity to meet with Roskam. Afterwards, Roskam will speak with 300 U.S. Government students during an afternoon assembly. He will discuss his experiences in Congress, the legislative process, his re-election race, and the financial crisis and proposed government bailout.
Lake Park has also extended an invitation to Jill Morgenthaler, Roskam’s opponent in the 6th Congressional District race.
Seats are available to the public.
