Willowbrook, IL -

The Tri-State Fire Protection District is giving guests of its annual open house a front row seat inside fire safety.

Scheduled from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, the district will host an open house to promote fire safety at Fire Station No. 4, 6301 Western Ave., Willowbrook.

A live fire demonstration showing how two identical rooms react in a fire situation will be conducted. One of the rooms will have a sprinkler system and the other will not, which will show the effects of how a sprinkler system can save a home.

The district is looking for donations of new, used or recalled baby room furniture to use in setting up the rooms.

To donate furniture, call (630) 392-3193.
