More than 20 area teens and young adults were cited April 18 after Glendale Heights police received a complaint of a loud party in a vacant home in the 700 block of Lippert Avenue at about 11:51 p.m., according to police reports.

Officers said when they arrived at the home, they found several minors drinking alcohol, and cited a total of 22 people with local ordinance possession and/or consumption of alcohol by a minor.  Two of the party goers were also charged on outstanding misdemeanor arrest warrants, police said.

Taj Patel, 18, of Carpentersville, was allegedly hosting the party. He was charged with permitting minors to consume alcohol and possession and consumption of alcohol by a minor.

All 22 people cited were released on bond and have court dates pending in Glendale Heights Field Court.
Police urge residents living near vacant properties to “be vigilant in observing any suspicious activity, and to report that activity promptly to police,” police officials said in a statement.

The following people were cited for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor:

David Garcia, 18, 170 Royce Drive, Bloomingdale; Justin Elefano, 17, 54 Augusta Court, Glendale Heights; Miraj Chokshi, 17, 183 W. Army Trail Road, Bloomingdale; Scott Szramek, 18, 22W467 Winthrop Ave., Glendale Heights; James Kosmala, 17, 160 Armitage Ave.; Bradley Kodak, 18, 352 Alabama Trail, Carol Stream; Jessica Ralston, 18, of Bartlett; Swati Kumar, 18, of Addison; Joshua Calandria, 19, of Addison; and Samantha Menard, 18, of Lombard.

The following were cited for unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor:

David Capeles, 19, 1354 Glen Hill Drive, Glendale Heights; Gina Marasigan, 17, of Lombard; Monika Sienko, 17,  216 Applewood Lane, Bloomingdale; Guillermina Hernandez, 17, 2N319 Bloomingdale Road, Glendale Heights; Jamiel Saleh, 17, of Lombard; and Syed Ahmed, 2306 Century Point, Glendale Heights.

The following were cited for both unlawful possession and unlawful consumption:
Gina Wehrs, 17, of Lombard; Marion Godinez, 17, 2008 Baldwin Court, Glendale Heights; Michelle Salinas, 18, 1544 Lippert Lane, Glendale Heights; Paulina Szelemej, 20, 255 Stanyon Court, Bloomingdale; and Ryan Null, 18,  218 Glen Ellyn Road #303, Bloomingdale.
