Cell phone cord stolen
A black cellular telephone adapter/charger cord was reported stolen at about 8:15 a.m. July 14 from a BMW parked outside of Wilshire Tower Apartment Complex, 205 Regency Drive, according to police reports. The car’s front driver’s side window also was shattered.
Loss was estimated at $805.

Car door scratched
The driver’s side door of a car parked outside of Stratford Place Apartments, 304 Stratford Place, was scratched between 12:30 and 8:30 a.m. July 14, police said.
Damage was estimated at $500.

PDA/cell phone stolen
A personal digital assistant/cellular telephone was stolen from a locker in the women’s locker room of Lifetime Fitness, 455 Scott Drive, between 10:30 p.m. July 14 and midnight July 15, according to police reports.
The phone was valued at $260.

DUI alleged
Rodney Carlson, 62, of Bartlett, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to signal when required, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, and operating an uninsured motor vehicle at about 9 p.m. July 18 near Lake Street and Medinah Road, police said.

Woman faces DUI charge
Rachel Acevedo, 34, of 187 Lynbrook Drive, Bloomingdale, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding and improper lane use at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday near Bloomingdale Road and Founders Pointe, police said.

Toy helicopters stolen from mall
Five electronic remote-controlled toy helicopters were stolen between 3 p.m. July 18 and 10 a.m. Saturday from Top Gan  Aviation Storage in Stratford Square Mall, according to reports.
The helicopters were valued at $275.

Car stolen from apartment lot
A 2007 Honda was stolen between 10:30 p.m. July 18 and 6:30 a.m. Saturday from the parking lot of Wilshire Tower Apartment Complex, 207 Regency Drive, police said.
The car was valued at $25,000.

Weapon possession charged
Ismail Nalva, 23, 534 Valerie Lane, Addison, was charged with possession of a weapon at 11:30 p.m. Monday near North Avenue and Schmale Road, according to police reports.

Man faces assault charge
Christopher Healey, 18, a resident of the 800 block of Tamarac Lane, Carol Stream, was charged with assault and disorderly conduct at 11:30 p.m. Sunday at his residence, according to police.

Drunken driving charged
Alonso Roberto, 29, of 551 W. Lies Road, Unit 6, Carol Stream, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without a valid driver’s license, illegal transportation of alcohol and other traffic charges at 2 a.m. July 18 on Gary Avenue, police said.

Drug charges filed
Yoo-Jin  Song, 28, of 1830 Harvest Lane, Glendale Heights, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana at about 1:45 a.m. July 14 on the 500 block of Gundersen Drive, according to reports.

Man faces battery charges
William A. Kesseny, 21, no address given, was charged with two counts of aggravated battery and disorderly conduct at about 4:15 a.m. Sunday on the 1800 block of Somerset Drive, police said.

Stereo equipment stolen
A vehicle on the 1600 block of Paul Avenue was entered and an amplifier, speaker and power supply were removed, police said. The incident was reported at 5:15 p.m. July 18. No value was given on the items.

DUI charge filed
Andrew Obrochta, 44, of Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence at 3:15 a.m. July 13 at West Bryn Mawr Avenue and South Roselle Road, according to police reports.
 
Car windows smashed
All of the windows of a vehicle parked on the 600 block of Sunnyside Avenue were smashed, police said. The incident was reported at 11:15 a.m. July 13.
