• A Lyons Township High School sophomore who has volunteered at Adventist Hinsdale Hospital for more than a year was recognized as the hospital’s junior volunteer of the month of September. Lauren Moberg of Western Springs delivers flowers at the hospital once a week after school. Previously she volunteered at the information desk in the hospital’s main lobby and in the maternal-fetal medicine department. She has accumulated nearly 100 volunteer hours.

• Frank J. Burns of Darien was recognized for his outstanding volunteer consulting services to dozens of nonprofit and public agencies at Executive Service Corps of Chicago’s 2008 Celebration of Service volunteer-recognition event, held Nov. 13 at the University Club of Chicago.
 

• Bruce L. Lanzerotti of Wheaton was inducted into the Ben Franklin Society on Nov. 14. The prestigious award is given by the Printing Industries of America/Graphic Arts Technical Foundation to recognize an industry leader who has made outstanding and lasting contributions to the progress of printing in America. Lanzerotti has been a printing instructor and worked in the private sector, but is most proud of being the co-founder of both Gracol and Bridg’s, the printing industry’s consummate authorities for printing standards.
