Bulls Academy to offer more tryout dates

The Chicago Bulls Training Academy announced more tryout dates for players interested in playing for the 2008-9 winter travel basketball teams in Lisle and Schaumburg.

Open to Boys and Girls in Grades 4-8, players selected for the travel teams will compete in league and tournament play against top youth basketball teams in Illinois. Teams practice at the Bulls/Sox Academy in Lisle and the Schaumburg Sport Center. Tryouts are free and potential players must attend at least one tryout.

Tryouts at the Bulls Academy in Lisle are as follows:

-- Boys tryouts are from 7-8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5 and Monday, Dec. 8.

-- Girls tryouts are from 8-9 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5 and Monday, Dec. 8.

Tryouts at the Schaumburg Sport Center will take place Tuesday, Dec. 9 from 7-8 p.m. for boys and girls.
 
The travel team players will train with professional coaches from the Bulls Training Academy who have experience in every discipline of the sport. The high level of training and coaching has led many Academy players earn scholarships to major colleges over the years.
 
Those selected for a team should be prepared to pay $625 per player with a $90 equipment fee. Returning players are not required to pay the equipment fee if uniform is current.
