The start of the baseball season brings hope for Chicago fans hoping their team has a memorable season in store.

Because of White Sox ace pitcher Mark Buehrle and Cubs' slugger Derrek Lee, hope will extend beyond the diamond this year.

Each player has teamed up with Charity Wines to raise money for two worthy causes.

Buehrle's "Buerhlot" wine benefits the Hope Rescues animal shelter in Alton, IL, which rescues animals from animal control facilities that still use the gas chamber. Lee's CaberLee wine benefits his own 1st Touch Foundation, which creates opportunities and positive change for youths striving to overcome challenges. Bottles of each wine are expected to sell for $13 and 100 percent of the proceeds from sales of each wine will go directly to the chosen charities.

The wines are expected to be available from fine beverage retailers throughout the Chicagoland area starting in June.
