Four charged with driving under influence of alcohol

Four men were charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol in separate incidents between Dec. 22 and Dec. 26 in Bolingbrook, according to police.

Martin Canelo, 42, 332 Fairfax Ave., Romeoville, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, leaving the scene of an accident, driving without insurance and improper lane usage at 8:15 p.m. Dec. 22 on South Bolingbrook Drive near Interstate 55, police said.

Jorge Valencia, 22, 7-Q Fernwood Drive, Bolingbrook was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and improper lane usage at about 6 a.m. Dec. 23 in the 500 block of Old Stone Road, according to police.

Jeffrey Hall, 50, 537 Old Stone Road, Bolingbrook, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, driving while license suspended and improper lane usage at about 10:45 p.m. Dec. 25 near Boughton Road and Delaware Drive, police said.

Martin Cruz, 45, 244 Edgehill Drive, Bolingbrook, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, driving without insurance and driving while license suspended at 8 p.m. Dec. 26 following a traffic stop in the 200 block of Edgehill Drive, according to police.

Charges filed against two men for battery, mob action

Jose Ramirez, 21, and Felipe Ramirez, 20, both of Chicago, were charged with battery and mob action after police were called to the 300 block of Crossroads Parkway at 7:45 p.m. Dec. 25, according to police reports.

Seven thefts from vehicles reported

Bolingbrook police report seven cases of thefts from vehicles occurred over a two-day period between Dec. 20 and Dec. 21, three of them occurring on Periwinkle Lane.

A variety of hand tools — including a screw gun and skill saw — were reported stolen from a locked, parked vehicle after 1:15 p.m. Dec. 21 in the 700 block of Remington Boulevard. According to police, the items were valued at more than $950.

A woman’s wallet containing cash, a woman’s coat and other items valued at more than $200 were removed from an unlocked vehicle after 8:45 p.m. Dec. 21 in the 100 block of Periwinkle Lane, police said.

A women’s purse containing credit cards, cash and a Social Security card were taken from a vehicle after 5 p.m. Dec. 21 in the 200 block of Algonquin Court, according to police.

Two stereo speakers valued at more than $350 were reported taken from a vehicle after 1 a.m. Dec. 20 in the 200 block of Periwinkle Lane, police said.

Items valued at more than $3,500 — including two saws, a nail gun and three tool boxes — were reported taken from a vehicle after 4 p.m. Dec. 20 in the 400 block of Wildflower Way, according to police.

A camera and an iPod valued at more than $1,700 were reported taken from a vehicle after 10 p.m. Dec. 20 in the 100 block of Periwinkle Lane, police said.

A car stereo valued at more than $150 was reported taken from a vehicle some time after 6:30 p.m. Dec. 20 in the 300 block of Veterans Parkway, according to police.

DUI charges for Romeoville man

Kenneth Todd Arndt, 40, 413 Haller Drive, Romeoville, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, speeding and driving without a valid driver’s license Dec. 23 after Will County sheriff’s police made a traffic stop near Sherman Drive and Joliet Road in unincorporated DuPage Township, according to Will County sheriff’s police.

Bolingbrook man charged with drunken driving

Nicholas P. Seidel, 25, 505 Jill Lane, Bolingbrook, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, possession of drug paraphernalia, speeding, operating an uninsured vehicle and driving with no registration Dec. 21 after police made a traffic stop near Airport Road and Illinois Route 53, according to Will County sheriff’s police.
