Five face charges of drunken driving

Five motorists face charges of driving while under the influence of alcohol in separate recent incidents, Bolingbrook police said.

Terry Mason, 47, 19-S Fernwood Drive, Bolingbrook, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, possession of a controlled substance, improper lane usage, driving while license revoked and driving without insurance at about 2:15 p.m. May 21 on Fernwood Drive near the Q Lot, police said.

Randolph Carter, 31, of Bonney Lake, Wash., was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, illegal transportation of alcohol by a driver, driving without insurance and illegal lane usage at 4:45 a.m. May 18 at Weber Road and Bradford Place, according to police.

Shana Wooden, 24, 601 Cochise Circle, Bolingbrook, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage, driving while license revoked and speeding at 1:45 p.m. May 18 near Boughton Road and Pinecrest Road, police said.

Robert Bone, 50, 149 Ashcroft Drive, Bolingbrook, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage and driving without insurance at 12:45 a.m. May 17 at Boughton Road and Palmer Drive, police said.

Ruben Moreno, 44, 647 Belmont Drive, Romeoville, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, driving while license suspended and unsafe backing on a road at 12:15 a.m. May 10 on North Bolingbrook Drive near Lee Lane, according to police.

Three charged with retail theft

According to Bolingbrook police, three people were charged with retail theft in separate incidents reported between May 14 and May 20.

Rachel Jurek, 20, 310 Beechwood Road, Romeoville, was charged with retail theft after police were called to Kohl’s, 1138 W. Boughton Road, at about 5:15 p.m. May 21 for reports of security holding a suspect, police said.

Katherine Chika, 21, 100 S. Canyon Drive, Bolingbrook, was charged with retail theft at 2 p.m. May 20 after police were called to Meijer, 257 N. Weber Road, for a report of an employee being held by security for theft, according to police.

Marquis Strader, 17, 227 Hywood Lane, Bolingbrook, was charged with retail theft, at 6:30 p.m. May 14 after police were called to Jewel, 12 E. Boughton Road, police said.

Two cars reported stolen recently

On May 20, a black, four-door Mercury Mariner was reported stolen after March 7 from the 200 block of South Bolingbrook Drive,  police said.

A white, four-door, 1974 Chevrolet Caprice was reported stolen after 8 p.m. May 15 from a parking lot at 511 Preston Drive in the Innsbruck apartment complex, according to police.

Drive-off suspect is charged with gas theft

Kyle Roberson, 21, 22-V Fernwood, Bolingbrook, was charged with theft after driving off without paying for $45 worth of gasoline on May 17. Bolingbrook police were called to Speedway Gas Station, 499 W. Boughton Road, at 2:30 p.m. for reports of a motorist who pumped gasoline into a car and then drove off without paying. Witnesses gave police a description of the motorist and the vehicle, and police charged Roberson 14 hours later after making a traffic stop in the 200 block of Canterbury Lane, police said.

Two charged with theft

Elizabeth Ruan, 23, Chicago, and Armando Padilla, 23, 1941 Brimstone Road, Romeoville, were both charged with theft at 11:30 p.m. May 15 after police stopped a car the two were in on the first block of North Lancaster Drive, police said. Ruan also was charged with having an obstructed windshield, driving without insurance and driving without registration, according to police reports.
