Seven charged with drunken driving
According to Bolingbrook police, seven motorists were charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol over the course of four days.
Yovanni Barroso, 21, 3W Fernwood Drive, Bolingbrook, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage and driving while license suspended at 2:15 a.m. Feb. 24 at Bolingbrook Drive and Lee Lane.
Mark Kolodziej, 28, 8103 S. Route 53, Woodridge, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, improper right turn, no rear registration light and driving without insurance at 1 a.m. Feb. 23 at Boughton Road and Hywood Lane.
Shelby Tomlinson, 22, 7227 Woodward Ave., Woodridge, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol and two counts of improper lane usage at about 1:15 p.m. Feb. 23 at Boughton and Pinecrest roads.
Kacee Uysalogly, 18, 1448 Clear Drive, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, illegal transportation of alcohol, speeding, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at 2:45 a.m. Feb. 23 in the 200 block of North Weber Road.
Eric Singeltary, 30, of Chicago, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, illegal transportation of alcohol, driving while license suspended, driving without insurance and driving with expired registration at 9:30 p.m. Feb. 22 in the 700 block of East Boughton Road.
Evan Kahn, 35, of Chicago, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, driving too fast for conditions and illegal lane usage following a traffic accident at about 1:45 a.m. Feb. 22 near Janes Avenue and Boughton Road.
Sheldon Neumann, 26, 1782 Wentworth Ave., Romeoville, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, illegal lane usage and driving too fast for conditions at 1:45 a.m. Feb. 21 near Remington Boulevard and Weber Road.
Sex offender registration violation alleged
Juan Zepeda, 21, 559 W. Briarcliff Road, Bolingbrook, was charged with two counts of violating the terms of a sex offender registration and an outstanding Will County warrant at 5:15 p.m. Feb. 20, according to police.
Chicago man faces battery charge
Antonio Mireles, 26, of Chicago, was charged with battery after police responded to calls for a fight in progress Feb. 21 in the 400 block of West Crossroads Parkway, police said.
Thefts from vehicles reported in Bolingbrook
According to Bolingbrook police, three thefts from vehicles were reported in Bolingbrook between Feb. 21 and Feb. 26.
A woman's purse containing items valued at more than $30 were reported taken from an unlocked vehicle after 8 p.m. Feb. 26 in the area of Meijers, 755 E. Boughton Road, police said.
A laptop computer and a tool kit valued at more than $640 were reported taken from a vehicle some time after 6 p.m. Feb. 22 in the 300 block of Arbor Court, police said.
A video game system and car stereo system valued at more than $1,400 were reported taken from a locked vehicle sometime after 11:30 a.m. Feb. 21 on Grace Court, police said.
Four vehicles stolen in Bolingbrook
According to police, four vehicles were stolen recently in Bolingbrook, three on the same day.
On Feb. 26, police were called because a blue Yamaha R6 motorcycle was reported stolen after Feb. 20 in the 400 block of Sioux Drive, according to police.
That same day, police responded to a report that a gold four-door 1997 Nissan Pathfinder was reported stolen after Feb. 24 in the 200 block of Old Chicago Drive.
Also on Feb. 26, police responded to a call from the 400 block of Charlestown Lane for a report of a gold four-door Nissan Maxima stolen some time after August, police said.
A red two-door 1999 Saturn was reported stolen after 10 p.m. Feb. 24 from the 100 block of North Bolingbrook Drive, according to police.
Teens face assault charges in paintball shootings
Three Bolingbrook teens face charges stemming from an incident Feb. 26 in which they shot paintballs at residences and vehicles in the 500 block of North Ashbury Avenue, according to police.
Police were called to the 500 block of North Ashbury Avenue at about 11:15 a.m. Feb. 26 for reports of people shooting paintball guns at homes and vehicles, but by the time police arrived, witnesses said three youths had fled in a car, police said.
Witnesses provided a description of the car, and a short time later, police stopped a car matching the description near Briarcliff Road and Orchard Drive.
Johnny Papastefan, 17, 613 Hillcrest Drive, Bolingbrook, was charged with aggravated assault, possession of tobacco by a minor and unlawful discharge of a replica firearm.
Julian Longino, 19, 352 Foxborough Trail, Bolingbrook, was charged with aggravated assault and unlawful discharge of a replica firearm.
An unidentified 15-year-old Bolingbrook male was petitioned to juvenile court on charges of aggravated assault and unlawful discharge of a replica firearm, police said.
